Ecotourism is tourism in a natural area that offers interesting ways to learn about the environment with an operator that uses resources wisely, contributes to the conservation of the environment and helps local communities.

Eco Tourism Australia, the peak national body for green tourism operators, has awarded K'gari Explorer Tours (formerly Fraser Explorer Tours) with Green Leader status in recognition of our commitment to environmental tourism in Australia, which makes us one of just 60 operators Australia-wide with this certification.

According to Eco Tourism Australia, Green Tourism Leaders are "trailblazers in responsible travel having been ECO certified for ten years or more."

We are very proud that our commitment to responsible, ethical and sustainable practices has resulted in our suite of touring products being eco-certified at the highest level.

In addition, we have Advanced Ecotourism certification, which recognises our commitment to socially sustainable practices.

Advanced Ecotourism is awarded to Australia's leading and most innovative ecotourism products that provide an opportunity to learn about the environment with an operator who is committed to achieving Best Practices by using resources wisely, contributing to the conservation of the environment and helping local communities.
